Abstract: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between satisfaction with spirituality and subjective Wellbeing for older adults in Hong Kong, using Chinese version of Personal Wellbeing Index (Adult version). A combined convenience and purposive sampling method was adopted, and 155 elderly people with a mean age of 78.17 years (SD = 6.2) were recruited from seven community-based settings for the elderly throughout Hong Kong. Data were gathered using individual face-to-face interviews and a semi-structured questionnaire with participants. Positive relationship was observed between the spirituality satisfaction level and overall subjective wellbeing Hierarchical multiple regression analysis revealed the spirituality domain did not contribute significantly to the satisfaction with life as a whole. However, this new domain was still retained in the scale as there is no negative impact on the overall psychometric performance of the instruments and such retention can maintain the instrument's cultural sensitivity. Further investigation with larger sample size is recommended.
