dc.title | A study of business failure : a case study of a small business | en_US |
dcterms.abstract | Most would-be entrepreneurs are obsessed with success stories and dislike with failure. People tend to hide away failures and try to forget it. Management literature is replete with success stories, but failures are usually ignored. Researches tend to concentrate on excellence and what factors can help an entrepreneur succeed in their business. In this project, my own business is used as a case study to identify the reasons which caused business failure. The following reasons have been identified in the project: Over-optimism about the market, under estimate the power of the competitors, lack of capital, management inadequacy, lack of strategic planning and short term orientation are the main reasons for business failure in a small business. | en_US |
