The effect of personality on the level of job satisfaction of the employees in accounting-related professions in Hong Kong are investigated in this study. We employed the Big Five Traits Personality theory in our study. The results indicate that four out of the five traits of the Big Five, i.e., extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness and openness to experience, taken individually, have significant effects on job satisfaction of the accounting-related professionals in Hong Kong.
