| Abstract: | This research intends to develop an index of fit to identify some statistical distributions. The index of fit is constructed by linear combinations of different goodness-of-fit type statistics and it is used to examine how well a sample of data agrees with a given distribution as its population. The index of fit is verified by simulation method. |
