Abstract: | Inventory management for Manufacture industry is one of the logistic management. It can be seen as a part of managing supply chain, which includes supplier management, material management, forecast management even related to production management, equipment maintenance management and so on. To achieve and support the business target, we must minimize the operation cost meanwhile maximize the service level. The service is not only to external customer, it is also serving the each node of the supply chain. Inventory management must keep working with reducing capital occupied and effective conversion of material. Business excellence provides a useful and scientific methodology to advance the business operation process. Which make us improve the inventory management work flow easily, even rebuild a new inventory management pattern. Business excellence provides multiple scientific tools, such as Lean thinking, Six Sigma, Design excellence and so on. The main objective for our thesis is: Through a typical inventory reducing project in a manufacture company, to show us a way or a scientific method for build an intelligent inventory management pattern. We put mainly contribution for the historical data collection, data mining, data analysis and inventory management project structure topic. For the business data collection, we gained from SAP system in the company. For the data statistic analyzing, we use Minitab software to implement it. |
