| dcterms.abstract | The care of patients with Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) provided a great challenge to nursing. This phenomenological study explored the experience of nurses who worked and provided care to patients in the SARS cohorting medical wards. The data gathering involved in-depth interview with few open questions of 11 informants who were working at two SARS cohorting medical wards at one of the acute hospitals in Hong Kong. Data was analyzed, coded, categorized, and made sense of the essential meanings of the phenomenon by transcribing the tape-recorded interview. Information of this research would be used in understanding the lived experience of the nurses who worked in SARS ward and would highlight implications for future nursing practice, education and research. | en_US |
