Abstract: | An Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) system can provide a seamless information capturing means accurately and timely. The handling of luxury, high value, or delicate goods, or devices of long life needs to have timely and accurate information. There are many parties involved from the point of origin to the point of consumption and even down to the point of usage. The Internet can be served as the internetworking net of the many parties concerned and have interested in the goods. Therefore, it is a perfect match of RFID technology and the Internet. That will allow immediate access to information and hence increase the efficiencies and productivities of the whole supply chain. The freight forwarders handle many luxury goods every day. They are facing the problem of tracking and tracing of them. RFID technology can help in this aspect. |
