dc.title | Analysis of international sporting goods market competition and strategies in the Asia/Pacific region with emphasis on competitive advantage towards market leadership | en_US |
dcterms.abstract | Research on competitive strategy by Michael E. Porter has bridged the economic theories and management practices in the marketplace and defined a fundamental understanding of competition. This project adopts the "Five Forces Framework" to identify the competitive forces affecting the international sporting goods industry. A thorough overview on the industry structure, product segments and geographical split is performed. The core part of this case study is focussed on the top three international sporting goods marketers with particular emphasis on corporate strength and strategy. The conclusion is drawn after incorporating the competitive strategies of all three market players in terms of similarity, practicality and effectiveness. | en_US |
