A MES with workflow/composition architectureen_US
In order to survive in today's competitive manufacturing markets, manufacturing systems need to adapt at an ever-increasing pace to incorporate new technology which can lower the cost of production, while maintaining quality and delivery schedules. The task of the manufacturing system becomes even more challenging in the quest to use a common approach for different manufacturing plants and ever evolving manufacturing processes for specific plants. This paper suggests a MES prototype base on Service-Oriented Architecture. It support heterogeneous platforms and interoperate with peripheral systems within or outside enterprise as well as loose couple. The prototype also support commercial (or stable open source) workflow engine which is support business process reengineering.en_US
