Abstract: In this research, an intelligent buying software agent is designed and established to facilitate negotiation and decision-making during trading process in an electronic marketplace. It aims to achieve better user satisfaction on dealing offer with suitable trading partner automatically and autonomously. Unlike some of the traditional software agents that are based on user predefined strategy, the agent in this research is intelligent enough to adapt the changing of market conditions, user preference, learn from past experience, and degree of satisfaction with multi-attributes of negotiating offer. In this research, a series of experiments are carried out. The experimental results show that the buying agent is able to achieve favorable outcomes in different market situation which employ dynamic negotiation strategy approach with multi-attribute utility function based on economic theory.
