dcterms.abstractLiner conference aimed at providing a regular and reliable liner service in a stable trading environment for over 100 years of liner services, however, the Far East Freight Conference has to be abolished on 18 Oct 2008. This study aims to apply the Structure-Conduct-Performance Model to the liner shipping industry with the liner conference's impact to find out how market structure changes by abolition Far East Freight Conference, and how the market conduct and performance will access accordingly. It illustrates that liner conference is the vital factor to determine the market competition structure. This research could help market players find out the essential reasons for the market behaviors in the previous, current situation and do better preparations to fit the post-liner conference market structure as this study's instructions. Furthermore, it is helpful for EU and other governments to measure and review if the anti-trust law executed in liner shipping market could bring the expected positive results.en_US
