dc.title | Vector control of induction motor based on DSP | en_US |
dcterms.abstract | AC induction motors are now becoming more and more popular in daily application because of the highly robust, low cost and maintenance free characteristics. However, in three-phase stationary frame, the mathematic model of AC induction mOlor is a high order, non-linear and coupling system, There exist coupling problems between the torque and the flux, so the induction motor can't respond as fast as the DC mOlor do if only traditional control methods are applied. So various new control methods have been developed such as vector control and direct torque control etc. and vector control is broadest applied for its excellent performance. The objective of vector control of induction motor is to allow an induction motor to be controlled just like a separately excited DC motor. With the development of the high performance power electronic components and high-speed Digital Signal Processor, the control of the induction motor has been fast developed. The objective of this project is to investigate the theory of vector control and implement a platform to test the control method. The investigation is done as follows: (1) Design the model of vector control based on the control theory. Test the model in Matlab simulink using two motors of different power levels. (2) Design the hardware, including the main driving circuit, the assistant circuit and the sensor circuit. (3) Design the software program in C based on the TMS320F2812. (4) Build the whole system and verify its performance. | en_US |
