Abstract: | Autism is a lifelong development disability. There is no cure for Autism but early interventions are particularly critical in autistic children with significant development gains. Most of the screening tools are in questionnaire format and the accuracy relies on the inputs. Usually, the accuracy and completeness of the observations are always a question. In the beginning, we studied the existing system to capture vision, vocal and motion information. Nowadays, there is no single system available to detect Autistic signs based on the CHAT-23 and DSM-IV criteria. Then, we tried to modify and integrate the systems to propose a comprehensive system to detect the early signs of Autism among a group of children automatically, increase the accuracy, objectively and using recorded video as evidence to support the input from the parents. The proposed system is not actually implemented and tested and it is the proposed prototype to integrate and as a supplement to the existing systems. Further study is required to implement the system and do the detailed research to investigate the feasibility of the system. |
