dcterms.abstractTHE MAIN THEME It is known that management training plays a very important role in modem human resources management. It helps to promote organizational effectiveness by increasing productivity of the organization and upgrading employees' competence. Even though its important role is recognized, what is an effective management training strategy and how it is constructed are not clear. This research therefore tries to address this issue to review the usefulness and appropriateness of management training in an organization by choosing the most suitable framework of strategic analysis and training transfer. It is intended that the guidelines and insights developed as a result of this research would be a practical reference framework for educational practitioners and managers in addressing the unclear role of various modes of developing executives. It is also intended that the insights developed will add to the literature concerned with the effectiveness of management training and development.en_US
