dc.title | An identity authentication anti-counterfeiting technology for red wine industry | en_US |
dcterms.abstract | The consumption of wine in Chinese market has a remarkable boom regarding the huge volume of trade in recent years, either production or importation. However, counterfeiting wine has become a severe problem in China. Fake wine has great negative impact on the society. It is harmful to drinkers' health, and may lead to injury or loss of lives. Unfortunately, few consumers can tell the difference between a well-make fake and the real wine. The project aims at developing a new anti-counterfeiting technology for wine industry to solve the problem stated. The deficiencies of the current anti-counterfeiting workflow were reviewed, and a new anti-counterfeiting technology for red wine industry was proposed. The new anti-counterfeiting technology comprised of two parts: birth certificate identification and birth certificate authentication. A unique birth certificate would be created, and relative information would be uploaded to Headquarter Database by stakeholders who control different sections of the wine life cycle. The information would be transmitted and finally reach the consumers to be identified and help with authentication. The birth certificate identification was fulfilled by unique "MOP" (Mother of pearl) texture. The birth certificate authentication was achieved by image processing and information technology, including CCD camera and Database. | en_US |
