dcterms.abstractLogistics performance impact on trade facilitation to trade development in ASEAN intra-region increasingly plays an important role. ASEAN secretariat treated logistics as the crucial strategy. To get a deep insight into the relationship among logistics performance, trade facilitation and trade development is a motivated explanatory exploration. The approach of this study is the application of Principal Component Analysis (PCA) model, draws data from international institutions with specific quantitative metrics of logistics performance in terms of infrastructure, time and cost, port efficiency, customs clearance, rate of inspections, documents and agencies and analysis the logistics performance in ASEAN intra-region. It is found that infrastructure, time and cost have a significant influence on trade facilitation. It also identifies different barriers to trade facilitation to logistics services in ASEAN countries. The study finally contributes to the policy implications to ASEAN countries especially weaknesses. Results show that Singapore has the least number of documents, number of agencies and shortest customs clearance time, which is well known for Singapore has the most development logistics service. On the other hand, Singapore scores the highest in Principal Component 4, which mainly represent the electricity consumption per capita of each country. Cambodia has the lowest level of paved road and relatively more number of documents, number of agencies and longer customs clearance time. Myanmar ranks highest interms of time and Philippine scores highest in terms of cost.en_US
