Abstract: People pursue the enjoyment of music and movie at present time. Home theatre is home entertainment setups that seek to reproduce movie theatre video and audio feeling in a private home. However, the suddenly high volume and depressed sense of low frequency sound from the horn impact the enjoyment of audiences. How to deal with this problem and improve the enjoyment becomes a hot issue in this field. In this paper, the measurement of sound level and reverberation time in the sample room and a long narrow room are displayed. According to these results, the effects of the difference of sound level and reverberation time between different frequencies, indoor and outdoor, different positions and with or without absorption materials are identified. Finally, an interview about the audiences' feeling was done to compare the measurement data results.
