| dcterms.abstract | Nowadays social network is increasingly applied to manage project knowledge aspects in project. In the traditional business process, they are mainly separated and the potential power of social network for project knowledge management cannot be extracted. In this thesis, the social network is divided into two parts for better research of social network websites and social network analysis method. The project knowledge includes data, analysis, knowledge and collaboration steps and the social network can assist in these steps. This thesis focuses on the methods and effect of applying social network in project knowledge management and at the same time the current development status of project knowledge management and social network is introduced. Then the need to integrate social network with project knowledge management activities is described. A framework of applying social network is introduced in the thesis and two surveys are conducted to show the state of practical use of this framework which indicates that some social network websites have become popular knowledge transmission tools in project management and social network analysis method is mainly used by technical workers for analyzing the relationship between project members. | en_US |
