dc.title | Validation of gene expression of ITGA7 and ITGB3 induced by p110δ in the pathogenesis of glioblastoma multiforme | en_US |
dcterms.abstract | Glioblastoma (GBM) is a common brain cancer with poor prognosis. The average survival time of patients is around one year and it is not much improved over a few decades. Several pathways such as Rho/ROCK, PTEN/PI3K, and MAPK) have been showed that is related in molecular adhesion and cell signaling. PI3K isoforms p110δ was found to play an important role in cell migration and invasion. Gene expression profile found that integrin are correlated to the cell migration and invasion. It functions not only as receptors to recognize ligands, but takes part in the adhesion process. More evidences proved that integrins have over expression or suppression in GBM. Based on the study screening of functional roles of p110δ with associated the gene expression levels of adhesion molecules, significant up-regulated and down-regulated genes are Integrin α7(ITGA7) and Integrin β3(ITGB3) respectively. Validations are performed to consolidate the findings and therefore can move forwards of these genetic works. Integration of the ongoing research with previous study can provide further evidence of significant gene expression of ITGA7 and ITGB3 in U87-MG with p110δ knocking down. | en_US |
