Abstract: | Hong Kong is in an area with complex geographical environment. Due to the seriousness of typhoons, there are landslides and other natural disasters appear. Landslide change detection is an important technical means for landslides monitoring and prediction, and 3D laser scanning technology has been applied to the change detection (such as landslide monitoring). This dissertation describes the research status and development of Airborne Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) technology at home and abroad. Meanwhile, it still analyzes the advantages and disadvantages and principles of landslide change detection methods and elaborates how airborne 3D laser scanning system works, system integration and core application areas. In this dissertation, some change detection methods that applied to the landslide have been discussed. Combined with the Lidar data of Hong Kong Island landslide, the changed volume of landslide has been calculated by point-cloud data processing and provide basis for evaluating landslide hazard and post-disaster reconstruction. The existing but have not applied to landslide change detection algorithms have been analyzed and firstly constructed a work flow to calculating the volume change for a landslide. |
