Abstract: Urban Heat Island phenomena, which cause high-temperature living environment threatening human health, have become a problem in many big cities around the world. This study is focus on first attempting to solve remote sensing image of Hong Kong lacking problem by using Chinese HJ-l-B environment satellite which possess short revisit period and finding relevant reliable real surface temperature estimation method. The second focus is finding out the main reason of Urban Heat Island phenomenon in Hong Kong in both canopy layer and surface layer. The influence factors of Urban Heat Island include a lot and can be categorized to two parts, urban heat loss and absorption, this study will figure out which is the main reason for Hong Kong UHI. The third focus is establishing the relationship between surface Urban Heat Island and Urban Heat Island in canopy layer. To figure out the main effect of Surface UHI contributes to air UHI.
