dcterms.abstract | With advances in technology, the development of micro aerial vehicles (MAVs) has become increasingly important over the last decade in the aeronautical engineering community. This dissertation aims to design two different kinds of flapping MAV. One of them is four wing flapping MAV, but unlike traditional MAV, this time the author wants to achieve the objective that the velocity of clap and fling is different in one flapping cycle by using the elliptical gears. Regarding manufacturing, the Rapid Prototyping 3D printing, Electric Discharge Machining (EDM) technologies will be used. Finally, the assembly and several tastings will also be proceeded. The another design is conceptual design for two wing flapping figure-8 MAV which will use the geared five-bar mechanism as drive train in order to trace a spherical figure-8 pattern at the wing tips. | en_US |
