|Abstract:||Storage-enhanced heat recovery room air-conditioner (SEHRAC) is considered to be one of the most effective ways to recycle waste heat in residential buildings. There are several models for air conditioning system that have been well studied. However, little has been done on the validation of the models when the models are in the heat recovery room air-conditioning system for domestic water heating with small cooling capacity. This study presents evaporator model, condenser model, capillary tube model, and compressor model in the system mentioned above. These models were built based on fundamental principles of heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and empirical relationships as necessary. The models were coded into a simulation program. The simulation results were compared with experimental data obtained from an experiment built for validating the mathematical model. It was found that the experimental and simulation results are in good agreement.|
