dc.title | Acquisition problems with "also" in Chinese-English interlanguage | en_US |
dcterms.abstract | Following the study of Interlanguage Hyphothesis and methodology of Error Analysis, the research has observed Chinese learners' acquisition condition of focusing additive adverb "also" in writing and the common errors they made through corpora of CLEC and PLEC. With reference to native corpus BNC Sampler (written), errors in terms of position, substitution, absence, redundancy, repetition, negative usage and related phrase "not only, but (also)" are found and are explained by mechanisms of L1 transfer or L2 transfer from a linguistic perspective. The findings help to understand the nature and development of Chinese-English interlanguage and provide pedagogical suggestions accordingly. | en_US |
