Abstract: At present, composite materials are increasingly popular and widely used in industry. As is known to all, composite are made from at least two or more different materials with different physical or chemical properties, and when they are combined together, more new and great mechanical, thermal or other properties are possible to be generated. With the development of industry and society, the shortage of natural resources and environment pollutions are worsening continually, and people are trying to find great solutions and making efforts on developing sustainable, accessible and pollution-free materials. In the meanwhile, in order to decrease the consuming of materials and increase the utilization and efficiency of materials, composites are increasingly needed because of its economic and efficient properties. When it comes to the environment pollution, the indoor air pollution is the key to threat to people, in particular, the exhaust gas from cooking and decorating materials. As a result, a new material, which has harmful substances using as decorating materials and has a potential characteristic of purifying harmful gas and substances, is necessary to be created. The “Nano-sized bamboo charcoal reinforced composite that discussed in this dissertation is a suitable and excellent example as it is not only eco-friendly and sustainable, but also has great mechanical properties to be made construction materials. In this dissertation, 2-parts-resin (GY251&HY956) are chose as the foundation and Nano-sized bamboo charcoal is chosen as the reinforcing agent. Besides, in order to find a better solution to design and manufacture the composite with low cost and high effect, the two combination methods are discussed. And the reinforced composite mechanical tests results are also discussed.Tensile strength is one of the most important properties of material, which presents how strong a material can be. Moreover, in the dissertation, to get a better understanding of mechanical properties, the hardness and Izod impact test are also done and discussed.
