dc.title | Performance evaluation of noise control design for rooftop chiller plant | en_US |
dcterms.abstract | Theoretical models are derived to investigate the performance of noise control installations currently used for central air-conditioning plant located externally. The deviations of their functioning in terms of large pressure drops, airflow resistance and noise leaking are presented. This dissertation report describes a detailed investigation on the effectiveness of acoustic louvers and silencers currently used for rooftop chiller plant by means of an actual site measurement based on the consideration of acoustic performance, energy efficient and cost implication in a practical project in H.K. In addition, the comparison of the acoustic performance, energy efficient and cost investment of various types of alternatives proposed in existing building were evaluated. The benefits are highly reliable and energy efficient. They can be used to substitute the commonly used acoustic louvers for central air-conditioning plant. | en_US |
