Spatial analysis on economic urbanization and relationship with population in national geographic states monitoringen_US
Urbanization occurred and developed in China in last several decades. And in the last ten years, the urbanization process of China has entered an accelerated stage. By 2013, the average urbanization rate of China has reached 53.37%. Economic urbanization is one of the most important components of urbanization. The high speed of economic development is also the main force to push the process of urbanization. The purpose of this dissertation is to investigate the spatial dynamic inequalities, spatial distributions and spatial autocorrelation of economy during the process of urbanization in Dongguan. In addition the relationship between economy and population within the content of urbanization will be explored as well. In the end, the trend of economic development will be analyzed and some forecast work will be done addressing economy. Conclusions are made after experiment that the south part and Center part of Dongguan have higher economic development than other parts. A certain degree of spatial aggregation exists in economy. Population has close relationship with economy and their correlation is positive. In the whole, the speed of development in Dongguan is very high. In this dissertation, a new regression model called geographically and temporally weighted regression (GTWR) is proposed to consider both spatial and temporal heterogeneity when analyzing the relationship between economy and population at the same time. Whats more, geographically weighted regression (GWR) is introduced into time series analysis to consider spatial heterogeneity when do forecasting.en_US
