|dcterms.abstract||With the popularity of smartphones, mobile applications are increasingly playing an important role in life, but most of these applications require the use of the network to achieve their own functions, such as social applications need to send messages through the network, video applications like YouTube require smooth network connection support, so the performance of the mobile terminal cellular network is particularly important. In the mobile terminal, measuring performance of the network is faced with many problems, including the signal instability, the difference between the hardware parameters of the mobile phone equipment and so on. In order to make up for these problems, I developed a performance measurement application Mperf for Android to implement the TCP, HTTP and other methods, meanwhile, make several innovations in terms of modules and interface. This dissertation provides the following contributions: 1. Analyzed what caused same active measurements performance different in Android architecture and provide experiments to verify. 2. The feasibility of passive measurement technique is demonstrated, what's more, successfully utilized passive measurement to evaluate the bandwidth. 3. Developed an Android mobile application Mperf that combined with the latest UI design style for network performance measurement.||en_US|
