Abstract: Switched reluctance motor is a new type of variable speed motor. Its structure is simple and robust, and it has many advantages, like wide speed range, high-speed performance, high efficiency, and high system reliability. Currently, its application and development have made significant progress, and it has been successfully used in electric vehicles, household appliances, textile machinery and other fields. The power range of SRM is from lOW to 5MW, and the maximum speed is up to 100,000 r/min. In this project, a novel method for switched reluctance motor design will be presented. This newly designed method will simplify the traditional design and obtain better results. This design method combines switch reluctance motor design with optimization algorithms. It uses the C ++ program to control FEM software to achieve the function of "modeling-computing-results". After that, it uses optimization algorithms to filter the results, and the best design will eventually be made.
