Abstract: Facilities in building play a very important role in supporting indoor activities for occupants, and its performance is depends on their management quality. This study mainly focused on the evaluation for the facility management performance of Pao Yue-Kong library in The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and aims to locate the problems in library facility management which influence the users' satisfaction. To achieve these goals, the study has carried out following these steps: First, based on information review and a group discussion, the suitable facilities and main spaces in the library have determined for evaluation. Second, a number of questionnaires have developed and distributed to the library users in order to identify the satisfaction and importance of the different spaces and facilities in their perception. Third, after data collection and analysis, the performance rating and importance weight of different spaces and facilities have obtained. Finally, some problems and suggestions for facility management in the library have located and proposed, based on the comparison of data analysis results and facility maintenance data. The result of this study shows the facility performance in these five spaces of the library are between "fair" and "good" in users' perception, but there are still some facilities, such as air conditioning in 24 hours study centre and furniture in the research carrels need to be concerned and improved.
