dcterms.abstractWith the development of the technology and the society, more and more non-linear electrical loads appear in daily life, which contributes to the generation of harmonics in power systems. This report discusses the causes, effects and concerned problems of harmonics, and reveals the importance of mitigating harmonics referring to energy uses in Hong Kong in present days. In addition, measurement details and results are presented, and evaluation is carried out by analyzing measured data. At last, some suggestion and discussion are proposed.en_US
