FBG-based axle counter systemen_US
Railway signaling systems play an important role in railway safety. As one of the signaling systems, axle counter system, which can be fallback mold when CBTC system fails, has its advantages compared with track circuit system. However, there are many deficiencies in traditional electromagnetic counter heads. FBG-axle counter system, a new-style signaling system, is able to make up the shortcomings of the traditional one. This dissertation conceptualizes a FBG-based axle counter system prototype based on redundancy design and fail-safe design. The system prototype is tested by FMECA, ETA and FTA to prove its RAMS. Based on the assumption of each component, the prototype of FBG-based counter system can fulfill the safety requirements according to EN50126 and EN50129.en_US
