dcterms.abstractAmong the factors within and outside the training context that could affect training effectiveness, this study focused on the two factors about trainees: the employees' perceptions towards training and the employees' motivation of attending training. Based on the survey among the four- and five-star hotels in Xiamen city, the training objectives of the hotels and training methods often used by the hotels were identified, the influences of employees' perceptions towards training and employees' motivation of attending training on the training effectiveness were examined, and the correlation between the training effectiveness and post-training job satisfaction was assessed.en_US
