Abstract: | This research is carried out to evaluate four aspects of human conformability from utilizing Jockey Club Innovation Tower (JCIT) located on the campus of Hong Kong Polytechnic University. In theory, the senses of satisfaction for facility management are arising from four aspects: thermal comfort, visual comfort, indoor air quality, and acoustic comfort. Specifically, this study attempts to the answer the above question through the lens of Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE) and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). By means of satisfaction survey, the indoor environmental performance among high-rise educational buildings can be scored. Perceptions collected from 215 interviewers to generate the importance weights. Most respondents thought as acoustic comfort was the most important. This will allow the public to understand how the designer effectively develops the facility management system in the future. From this project, the result will inform people about the new building design problems caused by facility management and make suggestions and recommendations to improve the building performance. |
