Abstract: With the rapid development of multimedia technology and the popularity of intelligent network technology, people can be in the wireless network coverage area of any place access to information network. Although, it has greatly enriched people's lives, but the increasingly demanding in wireless transmission rates gets much faster and the quality gets much higher. Compared with the power of radio frequency communication, VLC system of green environmental protection, harmless to the human body, without the need of bandwidth resources, is also very high security; therefore, VLC technology is generally considered as having good development prospects. OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) transmission scheme is a kind of multi-carrier systems, which can be used for higher rate data transmission. Due to the basic principle, OFDM technique has many advantages and has already become the most common used technique in VLC system. OFDM systems are known to have higher PAPR (Peak-to-Average Power Ratio) than single-carrier system. Therefore, PAPR reduction techniques should be used in an OFDM system. Now there are few people use TR and TI techniques in VLC systems, so we will do some research on the two techniques. The full text includes the following research as: 1. Build models of visible light communication system using OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) with tone reservation (TR) and tone injection (TI) PAPR reduction techniques, respectively. 2. Simulate the models of TR technique and improve the traditional TR technique. Then get the conclusion that TR technique is suitable using in VLC system. 3. Simulate the models of TI technique and get the conclusion that TI technique is not suitable using in VLC system. 4. Compare the two techniques.
