Abstract: The growing contributions of women professionals to our economic stability and development is beginning to create a greater awareness to this valuable human resources. In addition, different career opportunities and societal expectations may lay the groundwork for a new generation of women managers. However, when the female aspirant is climbing the corporate ladder, she will have to face particular challenge of pressure and change. Although she may have mastered the tools of her knowledge and professionalism, this does not necessarily mean that she can gain support and facilitation to further stretch her potentials. It is therefore important to have plannings of personal and career development to include both present situation and future position. In this study, I try to highlight the difficulties and limitations they encounter in such development; the importance of career planning; and the essential steps of self-evaluation in relation to the short and long term goals.
